We have had a lot of interest in the Roanoke Mini Maker Faire this year and Call for Makers applications are flowing in. We have a lot of entries for robotics, but would love to have young makers showing off other things they MAKE.  Here are some ideas of some things we are still looking for (we are open to others too)!

  • Biology/Biotech and Chemistry Projects
  • Homesteader & Domestic Arts
  • Digital Fabrication – 3D Printers, CNC, ETC
  • Student clubs, societies, and organizations that make things
  • Young Makers & School Maker Clubs
  • Hacks of Any Sort
  • Electronic Projects
  • Music or Dance
  • Woodworking
  • Textiles & Arts & Crafts
  • Radios, Vintage Computers and Game Systems
  • Unusual Tools or Machines
  • Virtual Reality Programming
  • How to Fix Things or Take them Apart (Vacuums, Clocks, Washing Machines, etc.)
  • Young  Entrepreneurs who are selling things they have made.

If you know or work with students who work in these categories, please have them fill out the Call to Makers Form.  All applications are due by January 25.
